The city police have arrested three people on suspicion of misbehaving and physically abusing an on-duty medical worker at the civil hospital between the late hours of Monday and early hours of Tuesday. The alleged incident took place between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Sohan Singh, Rajvir Singh, and Sandeep are the ones who have been named as suspects, but Rajvir Singh and Sandeep’s two associates are still at large.
Dr. Charan Kamal Ladhar, a district forensic specialist and a nodal officer in the emergency ward of the civil hospital, was assaulted after he requested the accused to wait for their turn in the line.
He stated, “Five individuals presented themselves at the emergency ward of the civil hospital at approximately midnight on Tuesday for their respective medicolegal examinations.” They were told to wait their turn for a medico-legal report (MLR) after their injuries were examined, and they were given that instruction.
After attacking the security guard, they made an attempt to force their way inside the doctor’s office. I attempted to appease them, but they yanked me from my collar and bit my hand; when I ran into my office, they followed behind me and destroyed my office,” he added. “I tried to appease them, but they pulled me from my collar and bit my hand.”
He added that the accused were in a drunken state and were requesting that their MLR report be done on priority, indicating that they were close to a local leader. He also said that the accused were demanding that the report be prepared on priority.
After the public and security officers interfered to save the doctor, the perpetrators of the crime also received injuries as a result.
In accordance with the pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act of 1984, a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against the identified accused party.
