Singhania University’s deceptive advertising is warned against by NMC

In connection with MBBS admissions, Singhania University in Rajasthan produced an advertisement that the National Medical Commission (NMC) deemed to be “misleading.” The NMC has issued a warning to prospective medical students about this advertisement. If any medical student signs up for classes at the university after receiving official notice from the NMC, then admission will be considered to be in violation of the rules. The National Medical Association (NMC) suggests that prospective students, parents, and members of the general public research the reputation of several medical schools before enrolling in any of them.

According to the notification that was sent out by the NMC on October 28, the Commission had recently found out that Singhania University was accepting applications for its MBBS program in addition to other medical programs. “The said institution has in its advertisement published in various newspapers claimed that the High Court in the case of IGNOU, has held that there is no provision in the Indian Medical Council Act which authorizes and empowers BoG-MCI to grant permission or recognition to IGNOU to enable it to take admission and impart education in MBBS and other medical courses,” the National Medical Council (NMC) pointed out in a statement. “The said institution has in its advertisement published in various newspapers claimed that the High Court has held that there The aforementioned institution nefariously asserts that it is protected by a ruling of the High Court, but fails to provide any details regarding the nature of the case or the institution that issued the ruling.
