Thanks to Margaret McCartney for some sense and balance on this emotive subject.

We all want to prevent premature death from prostate cancer, but we have to follow the evidence on what will work and avoid the avoidable harms that GPs see too often in the form of over treatment and associated side effects as mentioned in the article.
