New Delhi: In honour of World Heart Rhythm Week, Dr. Balbir Singh, Chairman of Cardiology and recipient of the Padam Shri Award, spoke to the media. Pan Max Healthcare also offered techniques to prevent and treat arrhythmia.
A disease that affects heartbeat rhythm, or the irregular pattern of your heartbeat or pulse, is known as an arrhythmia. Tachycardia refers to an abnormally rapid heartbeat, while bradycardia refers to an abnormally slow heartbeat.
Dr. Balbir said at this meeting that the majority of people are unaware of heart rhythm disorders, which makes them more common in India. Although arrhythmia is not specific to any age group, young people are more likely to develop this cardiac condition as a result of their sedentary and disorderly lifestyles.
People are more prone to arrhythmia when they are obese, drunk, smoking, have high blood pressure, or have diabetes, for example.
