UP DGME Releases Merit List For NEET UG Mop Up Round, Details

Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) released the merit list for the NEET UG mop-up round.

The list consists of the following details –

1. State Merit

2. Roll Number

3. Name

4. Father’s Name

5. UP Category

6. UP Sub Category

7. NEET Marks

8. NEET Rank

For the mop-up round candidates who have not been allotted any seats in rounds 1 and 2 of the counseling process will be eligible. The candidates who have been taken admission/not taken admission/resigned will not be eligible to participate. The candidates admitted through AIQ quota are also not eligible to participate.

During the mop-up round, the candidates must produce all the documents related to educational qualifications, caste certification, and other important documents. The admission process for this round will be completed at the nodal center.

Eligibility criteria for NEET UG counseling –

1. Candidates have to be NEET UG qualified

2. Candidates should be citizens of India

3. The candidates must have completed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

4. The candidate should have completed 17 years as of 31-12-2022.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. The Directorate General of Medical Education conducts the counseling process for NEET UG admissions.

The medical education department plays a pivotal role in developing medical and paramedical personnel to cater to the state’s health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centers from peripheral hospitals. Research is another area of activity for the medical education department. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical and dental education via various medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.

The medical education department was bifurcated in 1981 from the department of medical health services. The separate directorate of Medical Education was established in 1994. It has been functioning as a separate directorate for the last 16 years. It controlled Medical Colleges and attached teaching hospitals.
