UP DGME Announces Round 2 Revised Counselling Schedule For NEET Admission

Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) announced the revised round 2 schedules for NEET UG admission. The details related to seat resignation of round 1 have also been released.

Detailed schedule round 2 –

1. Merit list – 17th November 2022

2. Online verification of documents – till 18th November 2022

3. Online choice filling – 19th November 2022, 2:00 pm till 22nd November 2022

4. Result – 24th November 2022

5. Allotment order download and reporting to allotted college – 25th November 2022 till 28th November 2022

The candidates note that those who have been admission through AIQ quota in rounds 1 and 2 cannot participate in this round. Those who have not been admitted to the allotted seat of round 1 can pay the security again and participate in the counseling process.

Further, DGME has informed that candidates of round 1 who have been allotted seats through AIQ counseling or other state counseling but now want to resign from the allotted seat will give their resignation by 17th November 2022, 4:00 pm. The allotment proof has to be given during the submission of the resignation letter to the nodal officer.

The 10% of the security money will be deducted from the government and private college allotted seats, and the remaining will be refunded to the candidates. If the candidates of round 1 take admission to the allotted seats and are not allotted any seats in AIQ and other state counseling if they resign from the allotted seats, then 50% of the security money will be ducted before refunding.

The medical education department plays a pivotal role in developing medical and paramedical personnel to cater to the state’s health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centers from peripheral hospitals. Research is another area of activity for the medical education department. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical and dental education via various medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.

The medical education department was bifurcated in 1981 from the department of medical health services. The separate directorate of Medical Education was established in 1994. It has been functioning as a separate directorate for the last 16 years. It controlled Medical Colleges and attached teaching hospitals.
